Civil Engineering Department was established in 1994. At the beginning, there are only three full-time lecturers: Prof. Dr.-Ing Harianto Hardjasaputra as The Dean of Faculty Design and Planning, Ir. David Solaiman, Dipl.H.E as The Head of Civil Engineering Department, and Ir. Frieda Cohen (Alm.) as the secretary. There are also part time lecturers: Ir. Wirianto Rusli, Ir. Haryono Sukarto, and Ir. Budi Priyanto.
